The rock on the right is known as Lollipop Rock. We called the one in the middle Gumdrops, and the foreground Godzilla's Legs.

At sunrise and sunset, the rocks glow with the color from the sky and setting sun.
Water is captured in pockets because of the impermeable rock. These water pockets enabled native Americans to inhabit this area, despite the absence of springs or streams. Later, ranchers used the water pockets for their cattle. Cow paths are worn into the rock in places.
